The Yuyane mission station in PNG was burned done years ago. Pr. Philip is now working to rebuild the congregations in this area of Papua New Guinea.
Dr. Martin Dicke was born in Papua New Guinea where his parents served as missionaries. Now, many years later, he has returned to PNG to help the Lutheran church declare the forgiveness of Christ through music.
Today, Dr. Dicke tells the story of Pr. Philip. He serves the Yuyane mission station near Porgera, a town in the Enga Province. Dr. Dicke’s father helped start the work there, but the church got caught in tribal warfare a while ago. Now, Pr. Philip is trying to rebuild the congregations of the area and gather the scattered flock.
